Speaking to news agency ANI, Leader of Opposition in the Lower House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that the opposition parties will bring a no-confidence motion against the government in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said, “It has been decided today (July 25) that we will have no option but to resort to a no-confidence motion as the government is not accepting the demands of the opposition parties on the issue of Manipur. At least the PM should make a strong statement in the Parliament because apart from being the Prime Minister of India, he is also our leader in the Parliament, But they are rejecting our demand.
He said, “However, this is naturally a spontaneous demand Still the prime minister is not considering our demand. That’s why we thought of bringing a no-confidence motion. Where the main opposition argues that the allegations leveled against the government should be answered by the Prime Minister himself. This effort left us disappointed And having no other option, we are forced to resort to this parliamentary instrument called no-confidence motion.”
Why is the opposition bringing a no-confidence motion even after defeat is certain?
The question arises that why is the opposition taking this step even after the defeat is decided according to the numerical strength? According to the news agency PTI, the opposition parties argue that they will win the battle of creating concepts by surrounding the government on the Manipur issue during the discussion. Sources said that after considering several options to pressurize Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make a statement in Parliament on the issue of Manipur, it was decided that a no-confidence motion would be the most effective way through which the government could be forced to discuss the issue.
