NDA Meeting: The meeting of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) was held in Delhi on Tuesday (July 18). It was attended by Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan and Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party chief Pashupati Paras along with other NDA parties.
During the NDA meeting, MP Chirag Paswan touched the feet of his uncle and Union Minister Pashupati Paras. On this, Pashupati Paras blessed his nephew Chirag Paswan by hugging him. Chirag Paswan has touched the feet at a time when both the leaders are making their respective claims for contesting the Hajipur Lok Sabha seat.

According to news agency PTI, Chirag Paswan said in Delhi that he will contest from Hajipur. At present Pashupati Paras is the Lok Sabha MP from here. Hitting back at Chirag Paswan, Pashupati Paras also staked claim on this seat.
Pashupati Paras said that The matter of seat sharing is not discussed so much before the elections. He claimed that the late Ram Vilas Paswan had asked him to contest the Hajipur seat while choosing his political successor.

News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that apart from BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde), Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) were present at the NDA meeting. , Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (Pashupati Kumar Paras), All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), Apna Dal (Sonelal), National People’s Party, Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party, All Jharkhand Students Union, Sikkim Revolutionary Front, Mizo National Front, Indigenous Leaders of People’s Front of Tripura, Naga People’s Front and Republican Party of India (Athawale) attended.
Apart from these, Assam Gana Parishad, Pattali Makkal Katchi (Anbumani Ramadoss), Tamil Manila Congress, United People’s Party Liberal of Assam, Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party, Shiromani Akali Dal (United), Nationalist Gomantak Party, Jannayak Janata Party of Haryana, Prahar Janshakti Party, Rashtriya Samaj Paksha, Jan Surajya Shakti Party of Maharashtra, Kuki People’s Alliance of Manipur, United Democratic Party of Meghalaya and Hill State People’s Democratic Party were present.
Also the parties attending the meeting are Nishad Party, Puducherry’s All India NR Congress, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), Jana Sena Party, Haryana Lokhit Party, Bharat Dharma Jana Sena, Kerala Kamaraj Congress, Puthia Tamilagam Party, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and also leader of Gorkha National Liberation Front.
