Senthil Balaji ED Arrest: After the Enforcement Directorate (ED) action against Electricity Minister V Senthil Balaji in Tamil Nadu, politics is in full swing. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday (June 15) over the matter. Along with this, he has also alleged that the central government is doing its politics through ED. 

According to the news agency PTI, Tamil Nadu minister Senthil Balaji has been arrested by the ED. At the same time, CM MK Stalin said that BJP does not want to do politics by increasing reconciliation with the people. The public is also not ready to trust the BJP. People will trust him only if he does politics for them. BJP’s politics is anti-people.

BJP cannot compete politically – Stalin

Stalin alleged that the BJP uses investigative agencies like the Income Tax Department, CBI and ED to intimidate opponents whom it cannot compete with politically or electorally.

CM Stalin said, "We are also capable of doing all kinds of politics. This is not a threat… this is a warning. Don’t trouble the DMK man wrongly. If we retaliate, you will not be able to tolerate it." 

Mental and physical torture to Balaji 

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief alleged that ED officials are giving mental and physical torture to Senthil Balaji. He then warned the BJP. Senthil has been admitted to the hospital. Stalin tweeted that so much mental pressure was put on DMK leader Balaji that he faced health problems.

ED conducted 3000 raids since 2014

DMK Chief Stalin claimed that these central agencies will not go to BJP ruled Gujarat or Uttar Pradesh. Stalin claimed that the ED had conducted 112 raids in the 10 years before the BJP came to power, while after the BJP came to power in 2014, it has done so about 3,000 times. ED arrests DMK leader and Power Minister Balaji for alleged ‘cash for job’ He was arrested on June 14 in a money laundering case related to the scam.
