UAE Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi: Biparjoy cyclonic storm has knocked in Gujarat on Thursday (June 15) evening. Meanwhile, the famous astronaut of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sultan Al-Neyadi has sent stunning pictures of the severe cyclonic storm Biperjoy from space. 

A top meteorologist of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told on Thursday (June 15) that the cyclonic storm has hit the coast of Gujarat. The storm has started making landfall near Jakhau Port, which will continue till midnight.

Astronaut Sultan Al-Neyadi shared the pictures and said in a tweet, "As promised in my previous video, here are some pictures of Cyclone Biparjoy forming in the Arabian Sea. Which I have clicked from the International Space Station in two days." The magnitude of the cyclone can be seen in the pictures shared by Al-Neyadi.

Earlier Al-Neyadi had shared a video of Biparjoy cyclone. Neyadi tweeted the video saying, "A tropical cyclone is forming in the Arabian Sea, which I have captured… you see. The International Space Station provides a different perspective to capture many natural phenomena, which can help meteorologists on Earth monitor them." Stay safe everyone."

Many districts of Gujarat affected by Biparjoy

Due to the cyclone, high waves are rising from the sea. In view of this, 15 teams have been deployed at different places for the airlift. 17 teams of NDRF and 12 teams of SDRF have been deployed. At the same time, in many districts of Gujarat, due to the effect of cyclone Biparjoy, there is a strong storm with heavy rains. 

Thousands were evacuated

Whereas, thousands of people living on the beach in Gujarat have been taken to safer places. According to the Meteorological Department, the Biparjoy storm is likely to cause major damage to property and infrastructure in Gujarat as well as neighboring Maharashtra and Haryana. The video shows the progress of the cyclone and the cycle of cloud formation over the Arabian Sea.
