Maharashtra Politics: The political temperature in Maharashtra has increased due to the rebellion in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) under the leadership of Ajit Pawar. Nine people, including Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, have taken oath as ministers, but no department has been given to them yet.

Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Praful Patel have arrived in Delhi to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Meanwhile, former Union minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram taunted that the triple engine government’s position is like a three-legged animal trying to win a 100-metre race. 

What did P Chidambaram say?
1. P Chidambaram tweeted that the state’s CM and two deputy CMs are claiming that their government is a triple engine government. 

2.The triple engine government in the state is like a three legged animal trying to win a 100 meter race.

3. The newly appointed 9 ministers in Maharashtra have no work to do as they are yet to be allotted their portfolios. 

4. None of the other 20 ministers, including Devendra Fadnavis, want to leave their portfolios. 

5. In the end, the nine ministers found a solution and asked to announce that 9 new ministers sworn in in this government would be ministers without portfolios.

What did Praful Patel say after the meeting with Home Minister?
NCP leader Praful Patel after meeting Home Minister Amit Shah said that it was a formal meeting and he was not here to take any issue had come If we had issues, we would not have joined the government at all, he said. It was a courtesy call. It was only a review meeting. It has nothing to do with politics.
