Sixth accused juvenile arrested in case of conducting parade naked, search continues for other accused -aabtak24

Manipur Women Parade: Violence continues in Manipur. The Manipur Police on Saturday (July 22) arrested the sixth accused in the case of parading two women naked in the state. Police said the sixth boy is a juvenile. 

Manipur Police tweeted and claimed that it is constantly trying to arrest the remaining accused. We are continuously conducting raids regarding this. Today the fifth accused was also arrested by the police. 

News agency PTI quoted the police as saying that the fifth accused has been identified as a 19-year-old youth. The four accused arrested in the case of stripping two women in Manipur on May 4 were on Friday (July 21) sent to 11-day police custody. 

The house of the main accused was burnt
A few hours after the arrest of the main accused, his house was set on fire by the mob. According to the police, the main accused in the video is clearly seen instigating the mob at Bi Phenom village in Kangpokpi district.

He told that one of the two women with whom this shameful incident happened, is the wife of a former Indian Army soldier, who had served as a subedar in the Assam Regiment and had also participated in the Kargil war. A complaint regarding the video related to the incident was lodged at Saikul police station in Kangpokpi district on June 21.

What is the matter?
PTI quoted the FIR in the case as saying that on May 4, a mob had killed a man who tried to stop some people from raping his sister. According to the FIR, the two women were then paraded naked and sexually assaulted in front of other people.
