NCP Political Crisis: There was a lot of stir on Tuesday (July 4) regarding the political upheaval in the politics of Maharashtra. A round of meetings went on throughout the day regarding the political turmoil that started after Ajit Pawar’s rebellion. Leaders of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) met NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and also expressed their support towards him. Know the big things related to this political development.
1. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and his NCP colleagues attended the cabinet meeting for the first time after taking the oath of office. After this meeting, Ajit Pawar said that nothing like this was new. We and Chief Minister Shinde have worked together in the cabinet earlier also. We have experience in cabinetry. Most of them were ministers in that cabinet.
2. Ajit Pawar said that CM Eknath Shinde will take a decision. Discussions have been held in the meeting with CM Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. Soon a decision will be taken on the distribution of portfolios. NCP has not demanded the finance department. He said that all the work is going well. You shouldn’t worry at all. More NCP MLAs are with me.
3. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also inaugurated the party’s new office in Mumbai. In the new NCP office, Ajit Pawar handed over the charge of Maharashtra NCP President to Sunil Tatkare. Ajit Pawar has also put up NCP chief Sharad Pawar’s photo in his office.
4. On this, Sharad Pawar said that the party of which I am the national president and Jayant Patil is the state president, only that party can use my picture. Pawar said that during his lifetime it is his right to decide who should use his photograph. Those who betrayed my ideology and with whom I have ideological differences cannot use my photograph. Sharad Pawar will leave for Delhi on Wednesday evening. A meeting of the party’s executive has been called in Delhi on July 6.
5. On Tuesday, a meeting of the Congress Legislature Party was also held at Maharashtra Vidhan Bhawan in the presence of HK Patil, in-charge of Congress’ Maharashtra affairs. Maharashtra Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat said that the leader of the opposition Will be from the party which will have the maximum number of MLAs. We (NCP, Congress and Uddhav Thackeray faction) will fight together against the BJP. The MVA is together and the people of the state are with us.
6. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole and other party leaders also met Sharad Pawar. After this meeting, Nana Patole said that we are planning to visit Maharashtra with Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray. Sharad Pawar will talk to Uddhav Thackeray about this. We are planning to uproot the BJP, which is destroying the democratic system, and for this we will do this tour.
7. Nana Patole said that there is a meeting of NCP tomorrow, after the meeting the Leader of Opposition will be discussed. Congress condemns the way BJP conspired to break NCP’s legislature party. MVA is united and will defeat BJP.
8. An important meeting was also held at Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray’s residence Matoshree in Mumbai. After this meeting, MP Sanjay Raut said that we have discussed the upheaval going on in the whole country including Maharashtra in the meeting today. Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena are together under the banner of MVA. Sharad Pawar is not alone, we all are with him. The kind of politics BJP is doing and how we can move ahead in the midst of this crisis was discussed. I stand by my words. Maharashtra will get a new CM within a month.
9. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has called a meeting of all NCP MPs, MLAs, MLCs, district heads and state representatives. This meeting will be held on 5th July at MET Bandra. Sharad Pawar has also called all the party members for a meeting at YB Chavan on 5th July. Before the Sharad Pawar faction meeting, the party’s chief whip Jitendra Awhad issued a three-line whip. In which he has asked all the MLAs of the party to be present in the meeting. Ajit Pawar has also issued a whip for Wednesday’s meeting.
10. Meanwhile, a scuffle broke out between the supporters of Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar over the party office in Nashik. Also NCP Pune City Working Committee held a meeting and passed a resolution supporting NCP chief Sharad Pawar and condemning BJP for trying to split the party. This proposal was presented by senior NCP leader Ankush Kakde, which was supported by all the leaders present in the meeting.
