Manipur Violence: Violence continues in Manipur. Meanwhile, on Tuesday (July 4), a mob tried to loot weapons from the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) camp in Thoubal district of the state. During this, security forces clashed with the crowd and a 27-year-old man lost his life. 

Apart from this, the jawan of Assam Rifles was shot. News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that the mob tried to loot weapons by attacking the camp of the 3rd IRB battalion located in the Khangabok area. Soon after this, clashes broke out between the security forces and the people who resorted to violence. 

How did the matter begin?
Sources said that during the clash, the security forces used tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the crowd, but the violence resulted in people firing. Started. In response to this, firing was also done by the security forces.

During this, the crowd closed all the roads leading to the camp so that the army could not reach here. The Assam Rifles team present on the way was attacked. A Rifles jawan was shot in the leg and the vehicle was set on fire. 

How many people have lost their lives in Manipur?
According to PTI, more than 120 people have lost their lives in clashes between Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur. Violence first broke out in the state on May 3 when a tribal solidarity march was organized in the hill districts of the state to protest against the demand for Scheduled Tribe status to the Meitei community.
