Police solved the murder of Udhampur laborer Deepak Kumar, five Jaish terrorists arrested -aabtak24

Jammu Kashmir Crime: Jammu and Kashmir Police has claimed to have solved the murder case of Udhampur laborer Deepak Kumar. Along with this, the police have arrested five Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists allegedly involved in the murder. Deepak Kumar was killed three weeks ago by unidentified terrorists near a park in south Kashmir’s Anantnag area.

The arrested accused have been identified as Sehran Bashir Nadaf, Ubaid Nazir Lagroo, Umer Amin Thokar, Huzaif Shabbir Bhat of Waghma resident Wachi Shopian and Nasir Farooq Shah of Wenteng Mohalla Bijbehara. Police say that apart from one AK-47, one magazine and 40 rounds, two pistols with magazines, 14 cartridges, three hand grenades, seven mobile phones and the scooty used in the attack have been recovered from the accused.

< p style ="text-align: justify;">Shot in the park
Addressing a press conference, South Kashmir DIG Raees Mohammad Bhat said that on the evening of May 29, unidentified gunmen riding a scooty reached the park near GMC Anantnag . He fired with illegal weapons on Deepak Kumar alias Deepu, a laborer living in Udhampur. Deepak was seriously injured in the firing. The workers of the amusement park rushed Deepak to GMC Anantnag Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Formation of Special Investigation Team
After shooting Deepak, the attackers fled from the spot. As soon as the news was received, the police registered a case under various sections. At the same time, the police constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on 30 May to nab the accused. During the SIT investigation, the police came to know that two persons namely Sehran Bashir Nadaf of Shirpora Deva Colony and Ubaid Nazir Lagroo of Shirpora New Colony have gone missing. The area is located close to the crime scene, deepening the suspicion of his involvement in the murder.

Suspects made revelations during interrogation 
During the investigation, on June 6, security forces caught two suspicious persons during naka checking at Semthan-Tulkhan crossing. The revelations of the arrested suspects led to a major breakthrough in the case and the accused involved in the case were identified. The weapons, ammunition and scooty used in the murder were recovered from the disclosure of the suspects.

Killed at the behest of a Pakistani terrorist 
DIG Raees said, the arrested accused accepted that they were members of Kashmir Freedom Force (KFF) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) organization. Was involved in off-shoot and executed the murder on the orders of Khalid Kamran, a terrorist handler living in Pakistan. 

DIG South Kashmir said that further investigation is going on and more revelations are expected in the coming days. Police is still analyzing the information provided by the arrested Jaish terrorists.
