AAP On Congress: The Aam Aadmi Party, which was trying to increase its closeness with the Congress on the pretext of opposition unity, seems to be getting a setback once again. The war of words has started between the two parties. Actually, a statement of cabinet minister Saurabh Bhardwaj has come to the fore after which Congress spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh also attacked him.

Saurabh Bhardwaj was addressing a press conference. During this, when he was asked whether the Congress would contest the Aam Aadmi Party elections in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, the Congress would harm the party there. If both the parties will cut each other’s votes, then what is the point of coming together. On this, Saurabh Bhardwaj said that if Congress does not contest elections in Punjab and Delhi, then Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will also not contest elections in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

AAP is seeking support in the Centre’s ordinance

This statement of senior party leader Saurabh Bhardwaj has come to the fore when on one hand party chief Arvind Kejriwal is meeting all opposition leaders against the ordinance of the Center and gathering support to stop it in Rajya Sabha. Kejriwal has also sought time from the Congress to hold talks on this issue.

However, till now the Congress has not given time to meet, but now the kind of statement that has come from Saurabh Bhardwaj seems to be increasing the sourness between the two parties.

Congress’s reaction to Saurabh Bhardwaj’s statement

In response to this statement of Saurabh, Congress spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh gave a sharp reaction and said that there is no practice of transactions here. We do not talk about measurement. We stand with those who work to save democracy. He works to save the constitution. Saurabh Bhardwaj has become frosted. In Karnataka, he has got less votes than NOTA, so he is disappointed and is talking such childish things,   We stand with like minded parties.

What is the war of words pointing towards?

This war of words that started between Congress and AAP indicates a lot. If sources are to be believed, a lot of time has passed since Kejriwal had asked for a meeting with the Congress. Till now, AAP is not getting any indication from the Congress about coming together. In such a situation, efforts are now being made by the AAP to put pressure on the Congress in some way.

This is the reason why such statements have now started coming out from the side of the party leaders. On the other hand, if sources are to be believed, in the meeting of opposition leaders to be held in Patna on June 23, Arvind Kejriwal will try to put pressure on the Congress through leaders like Sharad Pawar and Nitish Kumar to come together against the ordinance.
