Jammu Kashmir: Doctors in Jammu and Kashmir have done a new feat. He has saved a healthy child of premature birth. In fact, a couple had to give birth to their son in just 24 weeks, in such a situation it was said that this child is one of the youngest children of Jammu and Kashmir.
Doctors told that a baby boy named Arjun (name changed for confidentiality) was born to a couple whose previous children were born prematurely
Arjun has many problems as soon as he is born
In such a situation, the hospital had already made preparations as soon as Arjun was born. Doctors told that Arjan also had many diseases including immature lungs, brain, heart and intestine as soon as he was born, due to which he was kept on ventilator in the hospital for 50 days.
Neonatologist Dr. Vikas Mahajan, who treated Arjun, said that he had to face many challenges during the treatment. He told, the child had serious trouble in breathing and he was also bleeding. His brain was damaged due to the infection. They said that he needed a lot of blood and medicines to stabilize his condition.
Arjun was discharged from the hospital 2.5 months after his birth
The hospital administration said that they also provided financial assistance to the family. He told that after 2.5 months of birth, Arjun was discharged from the hospital with a weight of 2.3 kg. Dr Mahajan said that Arjun’s survival is a miracle, as the chances of survival for babies born before 24 weeks are very less. He is a warrior and has overcome all odds. We are glad he is going home safe and sound.
