Judiciary should take suo motu cognizance
The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister said the judiciary should also take suo moto cognizance of Sarma Himanta Biswa Sarma’s comments if it took action against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for raising questions on corruption.
< p style ="text-align: justify;"> Mufti said, "Himanta Biswa is openly appealing to the Hindus to forcibly take away even the modest means of livelihood of the Muslims. They have targeted vegetable vendors and grocery shopkeepers."

Actually, Sarma had recently said, “The prices of vegetables are not so high in villages. Here mia sellers charge more price from us. If these were Assamese vendors selling vegetables, they would not have robbed their own people. I will clean all the footpaths of Guwahati and I urge my Assamese people to come forward and start their business."
