Maharashtra Politics: After Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar, now his nephew Ajit Pawar has also rejected the reports of being unhappy. He says he has the responsibilities of the state (Maharashtra) as he is the leader of the opposition here.

He said that he is active in the politics of the state. Earlier, after a program in Delhi, Sharad Pawar also dismissed speculations that his nephew Ajit Pawar was unhappy with Sule’s appointment. Pawar told reporters, "This suggestion was given by Ajit Pawar, so where is the question of him being happy or unhappy."

Soon after Supriya Sule and Praful Patel were named working presidents of the party, Ajit Pawar congratulated them in a tweet on Saturday (June 10). He expressed confidence that he would successfully fulfill his responsibilities.

Apart from this, soon after giving responsibilities to Sule and Patel, party chief Sharad Pawar made it clear in a press conference that Ajit Pawar already has responsibilities as the Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Actually, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar made two important announcements from Delhi on Saturday (June 10) on the 24th foundation day of the party. He had said that Supriya Sule and Praful Patel would now work as working presidents of the party. This is the first time that NCP will have the post of ‘Working President’.
