Parliament Monsoon Session: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has replied in Parliament during the monsoon session regarding the painful train accident in Balasore, Odisha. Responding to a question raised by Rajya Sabha MP Dr. John Brittas, the Railway Minister said that faults in the signaling circuit change caused the tragic Balasore train accident in which 295 passengers were killed.

According to the news agency ANI, the Railway Minister also told that 41 dead have not been identified yet. The Ministry said that the Commissioner of Railway Safety has submitted its investigation report and the cause of the accident is as follows-

He said, "The collision was caused due to defects in signalling-circuit-change made at North Signal Gumti (of the station) recently."
