Maharashtra Cab Driver Arrested For Blackmailing: A surprising case has come to light in Maharashtra. Here a cab driver hacked the social media accounts of at least 24 women and demanded money from them. According to the information received from the police, this person used to hack the accounts of women and threaten them to extort money and upload their morphed pictures on porn websites.

Police told that the person has been arrested for blackmailing. According to Hindustan Times, the accused has been identified as Ajay alias Vinod Kishan Rao Munde (25), a resident of Gautam Nagar in Parbhani district.

He used to hack accounts
According to VP Road police, Munde used to send messages to women on Facebook with a link. As soon as the women clicked on the link, he used to hack their social media accounts. Police Inspector Santosh Dhanwate said that friendship links were sent to the Facebook accounts of girls and women by the accused and their accounts were hacked. 

After this, the accused used to send messages to the girls that their pictures or videos had been uploaded on porn websites. Police said that he used to send them his morphed pictures and demanded money to remove them from the site. Although he used to ask for small amounts like ₹ 5,000 to ₹ 10,000. Due to which women did not file police reports. 

Forcibly recovered from 24 women 
Police sub-inspector Rahul Patil told that three women approached him and lodged a report against the accused. After which the police took action and caught the accused from Latur. Patil told that he used to travel frequently to Latur, Nanded, Parbhani and Parali. He said that a case was registered against the accused by two women in Sindhudurg district and one in Mumbai. During the course of action, they found out that the accused had so far extorted 24 women. 

Police said that the accused started hacking social media accounts during the Kovid lockdown, as he had no source of income. The accused also worked as a cab driver, but left the job and started this work. A case has been registered against the accused for cheating, cheating by impersonation and under the Information Technology Act and various other sections.
