Vegetable Price Hike: On Tuesday (July 4), the Congress taunted the central government for increasing the prices of other vegetables including tomato and colocasia. Congress said that you can now give vegetables as a gift because its price is increasing day by day.
What did the Congress say?
Shrineet said that Arhar dal, which used to get Rs 72 to 75 a kg earlier, is now getting 160 to 170 a kg. The price of urad dal has increased by Rs 30 in a month. He further said that cumin is also getting Rs.800 per kg. There has been an increase of Rs 200 per kg in a month. In such a situation, along with vegetables and pulses, the prices of spices have also increased.
