Delhi Ordinance 2023: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has got the support of Congress (Congress) on the ordinance brought by the Center regarding administrative services in Delhi. Congress General Secretary-Organization KC Venugopal said on Sunday (July 16) that the stand of the Congress is very clear on the ordinance issue, we will oppose it. Now Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has also reacted on this issue.

He said that I do not understand bringing ordinance in everything. When there is any threat to the interest of the general public and the country, the Congress party opposes it. This has been the history of the Congress in the House. Whenever the country and the Constitution are in danger, Congress is the first to wage war, it is our duty.

"Congress does not take decision under pressure"

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary further said that This is not a matter of Aam Aadmi Party, it is a matter of principles. The Congress party does not take any decision under anyone’s pressure. Whenever there is a threat to the country and the constitution, the Congress party will first oppose it. Wherever we feel that the federal structure is being insulted, the Congress will oppose it. This opinion is not of today, this opinion has been going on for centuries.

Aam Aadmi Party welcomes the decision

AAP will participate in the opposition meeting

Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha said that the Delhi ordinance is anti-national. Arvind Kejriwal sought cooperation of all political parties against this ordinance and they cooperated with us on this. The Congress party has also lodged a protest against this ordinance. The Aam Aadmi Party will participate in the opposition meeting to be held in Bengaluru on July 17-18.

The bill will be introduced in the monsoon session

The central government has listed the bill for passing the ordinance related to the administrative services of Delhi in the monsoon session of Parliament starting from 20 July. The AAP government of Delhi is strongly opposing it. For this, AAP has also sought the support of other opposition parties.

The central government had issued an ordinance on May 19 for the purpose of setting up the National Capital Public Service Authority for transfer of Group-A officers in Delhi and for disciplinary action against them.
