Maharashtra NCP Political Crisis: The political upheaval in Maharashtra has intensified political agitation. After the rebellion of Ajit Pawar, the courtyard of NCP’s house has been divided into two parts. Ajit Pawar has taken his next political step as the Deputy CM of Maharashtra on Sunday (July 2) by extending support to the Shinde government. Now everyone’s eyes are on his uncle and NCP chief Sharad Pawar as to what will be his next step. Know the big things related to this political development.

1. Country’s veteran leader Sharad Pawar has called a meeting of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on July 5 following the rebellion led by nephew Ajit Pawar. He said on Sunday that action would be taken against the leaders joining the Eknath Shinde-led government in Maharashtra by violating the party line.

2. He clarified that it was not the party’s decision to go with the BJP-Shiv Sena government. Ajit Pawar did not talk to him. This is like robbery. After his nephew rebelled, the 82-year-old leader said Sunday’s developments may be new to some, but not to him. Targeting the BJP and the rebels, he said that now no central investigative agency will bother the leaders who have turned rebels.

3. Sharad Pawar said that after what has happened, his endeavor will be to travel as much as possible within the state and the country and build relationships with people. He will go to the public from Monday to revive the party. He said that such things keep happening in politics and it has to be dealt with politically. Tomorrow I will go to Karad and visit Yashwantrao Chavan’s memorial.

4. For several months, there was speculation about Ajit Pawar’s increasing proximity to the BJP. Putting an end to these speculations on Sunday, 63-year-old Ajit Pawar took oath as the second Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Along with him, eight NCP leaders were also appointed ministers in the Shiv Sena-BJP government. Which includes Chhagan Bhujbal, Dilip Walse Patil, Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde, Aditi Tatkare, Dharmarao Atram, Anil Patil and Sanjay Bansode.

5. Ajit Pawar, terming himself as the real NCP, has staked claim on the party and its election symbol. Opposing his claim, Maharashtra NCP president Jayant Patil said that the party Eknath Shinde does not support the government. He claimed that many MLAs who had promised to support the BJP-Shiv Sena government were confused and remained with Sharad Pawar. On July 5, there will be a meeting of all workers and leaders of Maharashtra district under the leadership of Sharad Pawar.

6. News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that in a letter to the Governor of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar has claimed the support of more than 40 NCP MLAs and six members of the Legislative Council. NCP has 53 MLAs. After taking oath, Ajit Pawar said that all NCP MLAs are with him. He will contest the election on the name and symbol of the NCP.

7. Ajit Pawar also praised PM Modi. He said that the country is being run well in the last 9 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Today all the opposition parties are coming together to defeat the PM. Some output does not come out in front of them in their meeting. If we can go with Shiv Sena, we can also go with BJP. The same happened in Nagaland.

8. This rebellion of Ajit Pawar is being considered as a relief for the BJP before the Lok Sabha elections and a big blow to the unity of the opposition parties. Opposition party Lok Sabha elections– Before 2024, they are in the process of forming an alliance against the BJP and Sharad Pawar is being considered as the mastermind of this Grand Alliance. In such a situation, the separation of each faction of Shiv Sena and now of NCP is going to affect the opposition unity and the strength of BJP-led NDA is going to increase.

9. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde while welcoming Ajit Pawar and other NCP leaders said that now the double engine government has become triple engine. Now the state will move fast on the path of development. Now we have a Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers. This will help in rapid development of the state.

10. After the rebellion in NCP, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, former President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi spoke to Sharad Pawar on the phone to extend support. Also, the Congress has also called a meeting of its MLAs on Tuesday in an apparent attempt to keep the party united.
