Chirag Paswan News: BJP-led NDA meeting is going to be held in Delhi on 18th July. Before this, there is a time of decision for those parties who are being speculated to join this alliance. In the meeting of Lok Janshakti Ram Vilas Party held in Bihar’s Patna, Chirag Paswan has been given the right to decide on the alliance.

After the meeting, Chirag Paswan said that I have been authorized to decide on the alliance in the meeting of party officials. From time to time I supported BJP on many issues. I also campaigned for the BJP in the assembly by-elections in Bihar. With whom we will form an alliance in the year 2024, it will be decided soon.

What will be Chirag Paswan’s next move?

Even though Chirag did not announce to join NDA today, but in gestures he told what would be his next step? On the other hand, Minister of State for Home and former Bihar BJP president Nityanand Rai met Chirag just before the party meeting and indicated that Chirag’s return home is now certain.

There are also speculations in Bihar that Chirag may join the cabinet during the expansion of Modi government, but Chirag has kept silence on this issue for the time being.

After the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, distance came between uncle Pashupati Paras and nephew Chirag Paswan. At that time, BJP supported Chirag’s uncle, but perhaps now BJP has also realized that the legacy of Ram Vilas Paswan is represented by Chirag Paswan. His return may tie the Dalit voters of Bihar towards the NDA as another prominent Dalit leader Jitan Ram Manjhi has already joined hands with the NDA.

What does the Dalit vote bank of Bihar say?

Dalit population in Bihar is about 16 percent. Dalit voters are very influential in 13 out of 40 seats in the state. The Dalit population in these 13 seats is more than 3 lakh. 6 seats in Bihar are reserved for Dalits. In the year 2019, NDA had won all the 6 seats.

BJP trying to help Dalits in UP too

Apart from Dalit leaders, BJP is also engaged in connecting backward leaders from Bihar to UP. In Bihar, Upendra Kushwaha, Mukesh Sahni and Omprakash Rajbhar in UP are also in the final stages of talks about joining the NDA in the coming days. In UP, there are speculations about Rashtriya Lok Dal’s Jayant Chaudhary and Azad Samaj Party’s Chandrashekhar joining the NDA. However, the final picture is expected to be clear on July 18 i.e. the day of the NDA meeting.
