PM Modi France Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for a three-day foreign trip on Thursday (July 13). Meanwhile PM Narendra Modi will visit France for two days and UAE for one day. Before leaving for France, PM Modi issued a statement sharing details about his visit to France.

He said in his statement released on narendramodi.in, “I am on an official visit to France from July 13-14 at the invitation of my friend French President Emmanuel Macron. This visit is special because I will join President Emmanuel Macron as a special guest in the French National Day or Bastille Day celebrations.” 

25th anniversary of strategic partnership with France- PM Modi
PM Modi said, “Indian tri-services contingent will be part of the Bastille Day parade, while Indian Air Force aircraft will fly on the occasion.” But will do fly-past. This year marks the 25th anniversary of our strategic partnership. Rooted in deep trust and commitment, our two countries cooperate closely in various fields including defence, space, blue economy, trade, investment, education, culture and people-to-people ties. We also work together on regional and global issues.

He said, “I look forward to meeting President Macron and having extensive discussions on taking this long-term and mature partnership forward over the next 25 years.” Since my last official visit to France in 2022, I have had the opportunity to meet President Macron several times. Recently we met in Hiroshima, Japan during the G-7 summit in May 2023.

Looking forward to meeting other members of the French leadership as well – PM Modi
Before leaving for France, PM Modi said, “I am the President, French Prime Minister Elizabeth Borne, Senate I also look forward to talks with the French leadership, including President Gérard Larcher, President of the National Assembly Yelle Braun-Pivet.”

He said, “During my visit, I will have the opportunity to meet the Indian community, prominent CEOs of both countries as well as prominent French personalities. I am confident that my visit will give new impetus to our strategic partnership.”

PM Modi also mentioned UAE visit
Prime Minister Modi will also visit UAE while returning after his visit to France. Referring to this, he said that from Paris I will travel to the United Arab Emirates on July 15 for an official visit. I look forward to meeting my friend, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

PM Modi said, “Our two countries are connected in a wide range of areas like trade, investment, energy, food security, science and technology, education, fintech, defence, security and strong people-to-people ties.” Last year, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and I agreed on a roadmap on the future of our partnership, and I look forward to discussing with him how to further deepen our ties. I am confident that my visit to the UAE will open a new chapter in our comprehensive strategic partnership”
