West Bengal Panchayat Elections Results 2023: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday strongly criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for the violence during the panchayat elections in West Bengal. Saha advised the state government to first learn what democracy is and how free, fair and peaceful elections are conducted.

According to ANI, Manik Saha said this while addressing the workers in an organizational meeting in July Bari. During this, he also called upon West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and TMC leaders to visit Tripura. Said that they should come here and see how peaceful elections can be conducted.

‘We believe in conducting peaceful elections’
CM Manik Saha meanwhile asked his party workers to reach out to TMC supporters and tell them about the violence during West Bengal elections requested. They said, "It is important for you to go home to Trinamool Congress supporters and inform them about the tragic incidents in West Bengal.

Manik Saha, while accusing TMC, said, the history of violence in Bengal extends beyond targeting common people. Workers of his own party are also involved in this violence. We have seen their disregard for human life in the past when they targeted innocents and our own party workers.

He said that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee should come to Tripura to learn how elections can be conducted in a peaceful manner." Referring to the 2023 assembly elections in the state, Saha said Tripura has set an example by conducting elections without any violence and obstruction.
