Uncontrollable Yamuna in Delhi, many areas submerged in water, IMD issues alert for these states -aabtak24

IMD Rain Update: In many states of the country, there is an outcry due to Monsoon Rain. Due to the rain, there has been heavy damage in Himachal Pradesh and the rivers are in spate. The effect of which is also being seen in Delhi. The water level of Yamuna River in Delhi has already crossed the danger mark and flood water entered several areas of the national capital on Thursday (July 13).

Yamuna river is becoming uncontrollable after the release of water from Hathnikund Barrage. Thousands of people have been evacuated from areas near Yamuna in Delhi. IMD has predicted rain in Delhi for the next few days. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Northeast India, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand. 

Chance of rain in these states

It will rain in Delhi till July 19

IMD said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Delhi till 19 July. In which there may be more rain on 15 July. Yamuna river is in spate in Delhi. There has been flood in many areas of Delhi. At present the water level of Yamuna river has been recorded at 208.66 metres. 

Alert issued for these states

IMD has issued Red Alert in Uttarakhand for July 14, Orange Alert for West Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam. While on July 15, Orange Alert has been issued in Uttarakhand, Yellow Alert in Western Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim and Assam. The Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain in Mumbai in the next 24 hours.
