Agartala, June 11: The state social welfare department minister Tinky Roy on Sunday underlined the achievements of the BJP led coalition government in Tripura during the last five years and claimed that Tripura had witnessed a robust transformation with the enhancing connectivity.
The Minister was addressing the 2nd Biennial state conference of the Tripura State Employees’ Workers Sangha of the PWD Employees and Workers Departmental Unit here at Agartala Rabindra Bhawan.
Addressing the gathering of the PWD employees on Sunday, the minister Tinku Roy said, “Tripura witnessed a massive transformation in connectivity which was once neglected by the previous government. Apart from the development in air and rail connectivity, people of the state are now enabled to make their hassle free with broader roads.”
“Tripura is approaching towards development like that of the country as a whole in a Vande Bharat speed,” he said, adding that the rail and air connectivity too had witnessed a robust transformation.
In his address, Roy had also put light on the government’s work for the tea garden workers of the state and made a comparative study between the previous and the present government. He said, “During the last 35 years the previous government had failed to work for the tea garden workers and families and so did they failed to build schools for their children. Whereas during the last five years, the present government had provided land to the families of the tea garden workers and had let the children of those workers join schools.”
“The government had worked to improve the socio-economic status of the tea garden workers of the state,” he added.
He however urged upon the employees of the state to implement the government schemes in a proper way so as to make the people of the state realise that the government is always beside them.
