Agartala, July 8: A combined meeting for implementing five health programmes was held at the conference hall of the civil secretariat on Friday.
Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha chaired the meeting of State Steering Committee for Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0, the State Task Force Committee for Immunization, the State Coordination Committee for planning of Mukhyamantri Sustho Shaishob Sustho Koishore Abhiyan (MSSSKA) 5.0 and State Level Joint Steering Committee for National Rabies Control Programme.
The meeting was attended by the Secretaries, Directors and senior officers from other stakeholder departments.
In September 2021, the state government launched the Mukhyamantri Sustho Shaishob Sustho Kaishore Abhiyaan (MSSSKA). The objective of joint implementation was to ensure uninterrupted access to drug and nutrition supplements to the children and adolescents in the age group between 0-19 years at their doorstep. The state government has decided to continue MSSSKA-5.0 in September 2023.
Earlier in a meeting, it has been tentatively decided to implement MSSSKA-5.0 from September 11- 25 across all eight districts in Tripura through a mixed approach (Institution and Community based door-to-door).
The program will be implemented through institutions from September 11-15 and a mop-up round of community- based door-to-door administration/distribution from September 16-20, 2023 will be done.
