Karnataka Transport Ministry: In the past, a bus conductor Jagdish tried to commit suicide in Karnataka after he was transferred. In the midst of these suicide attempts, the Transport Minister of Karnataka gave his response and said that the government has deliberately not transferred the conductor.
Actually a driver-cum-conductor of Karnataka State Transport Corporation tried to commit suicide in the past when he was transferred to another place. Conductor Jagadish alleged that his transfer was attributed to state Agriculture Minister N Chaluvaraiah Swamy.
The driver alleged that he was being transferred only because of N Chaluvaraiah Swamy, as a woman had complained to him against the conduct of the conductor. After this, the Agriculture Minister complained to his higher officials, after which he was transferred.

The incident took place on Thursday (July 6) at the KSRTC bus depot in Nagamangala, Karnataka, where transport officials were preparing to hand over the transfer letter to Jagadish . There he consumed poison and refused to go to the hospital when his health deteriorated.
When his condition became very critical, his colleagues took him to the hospital and there he was admitted to the ICU. Meanwhile, on getting the information, state political party JDS Chief Kumar Swami reached the hospital to meet Jagdish and inquired about his health.
After this, this matter caught fire in the politics of the state and the media started asking questions to the Transport Minister regarding this. He then replied that he was told by the authorities that the transfer of the conductor was part of the routine process and nothing was done in haste.
