Wrestlers Protest News Today: Wrestlers protesting against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh have alleged that pressure was being created to compromise. Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik on Saturday (June 10) claimed that a minor, one of the seven female wrestlers who have accused Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment, did so under pressure. Changed my statement.

Olympian Sakshi Malik told NDTV that there is a lot of pressure on us to compromise. He has accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of calling and threatening the complainants. They also said that they have been demanding the arrest and custodial interrogation of the accused since day one. He said that without the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, there cannot be a fair investigation.

The wrestlers have given time till June 15

Wrestler Bajrang Punia said that today the mahapanchayat decided that the meeting with Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur was given time till June 15. We will not protest till then. Only after June 15, we will make a future strategy. We have not backed down from our demand for his arrest. The Olympic medalist wrestler also said that he does not trust the police investigation.

Allegations against police also

Recently a minor complainant has changed his statement against Brij Bhushan. The minor’s father told NDTV that the wrestler was not a minor at the time of the incident and has filed a fresh statement in the court. On the other hand, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has denied all the allegations of sexual harassment and said that if a single allegation is proved against me, I will hang myself.
