Opposition Party Meet: Opposition parties met on the second day in Bengaluru. Several opposition leaders on Tuesday targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that the purpose of their meeting is to save the country, democracy and the Constitution.
He also alleged that the democracy of the country is being played with in the BJP government. He said, ‘Concept of India’ needs to be protected. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that today’s meeting is important regarding the situation created in the country by the BJP government.
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi got a chance to rule for 10 years and during this time trouble has arisen in almost every field. He claimed, ‘‘The Prime Minister has created hatred in the hearts of people, the economy has collapsed, inflation is at its peak and there is unemployment in every sector.’’ Kejriwal said that the time has come for the people of India to get freedom from Prime Minister Modi.
Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said that this meeting is necessary for the country. We have to save the country, we have to save democracy. Farmers, laborers, youth all have to be protected. Earlier, he told reporters, ‘Now we have to bid farewell to Narendra Modi (government).’’
Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav said, ‘‘We have united to save the country’s democracy, constitution and brotherhood. The constitutional institutions of the country are being misused and the properties of the country are being sold. Instead of talking about real issues like farmers, youth, inflation, only hatred is being talked about.’’
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav said that this meeting is necessary to save the country and the people. He claimed that in today’s time two-thirds of the people of the country are against the BJP
Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Jayant Chaudhary said that in the new India of BJP there is no democracy, but mobocracy. The country needs a strong alternative. Together we will take the issues of the people together. In 2024, we will get a good and working government for the people.
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti said, ‘‘Today our country’s constitution and democracy are being played with. Diversity, which is the strength of this country, is being destroyed, so we all have come together to save the concept of India.’’
