Dharmanagar Jun 26: Resurrection Home, a non-governmental organization formed to guide the youths of the state against drug abuse took to the streets of Dharmanagar here on Monday on the occasion of International Day against drug abuse.
Youths organized the anti-drug campaign that started from the front of Resurrection Home Office at Chandrapur in Dharmanagar.
Meanwhile, all the three councillors in the area are trying their best to bring the addicts back from chaotic to normal life.
Speaking on the occasion, Councillor Shilu Chakma said that various non-governmental organizations working around the world to put an end to drug menace and ensure that youths who already have become addicted to the dangerous drug abuse can be rehabilitated and brought back to normal life.
As a part of this, Dharmanagar’s Resurrection Home has organized the anti-drug rally on the occasion of International Day against Drug abuse, she added.
A total of 50 authorities are working for this organization. They are also trying to convince the youth through counselling or various other psychological ways.
