Mamata Banerjee On Alliance: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) Chief Mamata Banerjee has criticized the Congress and the CPIM, a few days after the recent opposition meeting in Bihar’s Patna. He said that even after efforts were made to forge a larger opposition alliance against the BJP at the Centre, their actions were creating hurdles.

According to news agency PTI, the TMC chief, while addressing a panchayat election rally on Monday (June 26), said, “We are trying to form a grand alliance against the BJP at the Centre, but the Congress and the CPIM are working against the BJP in Bengal. trying to work together. I will break the unholy alliance in Bengal.”

This is the second time within the last 10 days that Mamata Banerjee has criticized the Congress and the CPIM for making a tacit agreement with the BJP. Reacting to the West Bengal Chief Minister’s claim, West Bengal Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said, “The credibility of TMC in the fight against BJP has always been under question. We all know what role TMC has played all these years in the fight against BJP.”

While echoing Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, CPIM said, “He should be the last person to lecture Communists and Congress on ways to fight against BJP.”

What did the BJP say?

On this matter, BJP rejected the allegations of any kind of agreement with CPIM and Congress in the state. CPI(M), Congress and TMC are in the same boat. BJP leader Rahul Sinha said, it is the BJP which is fighting against the anti-people policies of the state government.
