Maharashtra Political Crisis: There was a lot of stir on Monday (July 3) regarding the political storm in Maharashtra. The phase of new appointment and suspension also went on from both the factions formed in NCP. NCP chief Sharad Pawar made a show of strength to show his authority over the party after his nephew’s rebellion. While Ajit Pawar said that Sharad Pawar is the president of his party. Know the big things related to this political development.
1. A day after the rebellion led by nephew Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar visited Prithisangam, the memorial of the late Chavan. Thousands of supporters welcomed him in Karad. His visit was seen as a show of strength after the split in the NCP. Sharad Pawar said that some of our people became victims of BJP’s strategy of breaking other parties. Attempts are being made to create a communal divide in Maharashtra and the country. We need to fight forces that create fear among peace-loving citizens.
2. Sharad Pawar dismissed speculations that Ajit Pawar’s rebellion has his blessings. He said that saying this is a trivial thing. Only people with less intelligence can say this. I have chalked out a plan to tour the state and energize the workers. They should not be disheartened by what some leaders have done. I have 2-3 past experiences of first MLAs leaving. Good results will come in future.
3. Sharad Pawar expelled the party’s working president Praful Patel and Lok Sabha MP Sunil Tatkare from the party for anti-party activities. Both these leaders have supported Ajit Pawar in his rebellion. Pawar tweeted that being the national president of the Nationalist Congress Party, I order the removal of names of Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel from the register of NCP members for their anti-party activities.
4. He also expelled SR Kohli for anti-party activities. Along with this, NCP’s Maharashtra President Jayant Patil on Sunday also suspended the MLAs who took oath as ministers in the Shinde government from the party. He forbade the use of party symbols and said legal action would be taken if he did so.
5. The two MLAs accompanying Ajit Pawar also took a U-turn on Monday. Dilip Mohite Patil and Makarand Patil again sided with Sharad Pawar. Dilip Mohite Patil also alleged that Ajit Pawar had taken the signatures of the MLAs without informing them. We do not agree with his move. Whereas Makarand Patil, who attended the swearing-in ceremony on Sunday, was seen sitting in Sharad Pawar’s car.
6. After the action taken by Sharad Pawar, action was also taken from Ajit Pawar’s camp. Soon after Sharad Pawar was removed from the post of working president of the faction, Praful Patel replaced Jayant Patil with Lok Sabha MP Sunil Announced the appointment of Tatkare as the head of the Maharashtra unit of the party. He also appointed Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar as the leader of the party’s legislature party. Patel appointed Anil Bhaidas Patil as chief whip of the NSP in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
7. Praful Patel said that the election of Jayant Patil should have been done according to the constitution. Being the National Working President of NCP, I have decided to give the responsibility of State President of Maharashtra to Sunil Tatkare. He said that we request Sharad Pawar with folded hands to respect the wishes of the majority of senior leaders and workers of the party. May his blessings always be upon us and the party. There is no pressure on us. I am grateful to NCP and Pawar Sahab for whatever I got in the party.
8. After joining the Eknath Shinde-led government, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and state minister Chhagan Bhujbal reached to meet Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday. According to news agency PTI, the allocation of departments was discussed during this. Ajit Pawar has previously held the charge of Water Resources Department, Electricity and Finance Department. Right now all these three portfolios are with Fadnavis. Apart from this, he is also handling the charge of Home Department.
9. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that we have taken this decision for the betterment of Maharashtra. In response to a question regarding the name of the National President of NCP, he said that Have you forgotten that Sharad Pawar is the National President of the party. The party will go great, don’t worry. While the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde said that Ajit Pawar has said that he is supporting development and development is happening under the leadership of PM Modi. 10. RJD Chief and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav said that Sharad Pawar is not going to be affected. Sharad Pawar is a force. Narendra Modi tried to shake, all will fail. We have heard that everyone is discussing that break the MPs of Bihar, take out the MPs. Where does Bihar waver, we will not let Bihar waver.
