PM Modi Dras Visit: July 26 is the 24th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. On this occasion the Prime Minister Narendra Modi can pay tribute to the soldiers of the Indian Army by reaching Drass in Ladakh. Officials have given information about this. The officials have been informed about the expected visit of the Prime Minister to Drass.
PM Modi will reach Srinagar airport from New Delhi. From here he will leave for Drass where he will stay for about an hour. During this, he will talk to the soldiers and pay tribute to the soldiers who were martyred during the 1999 war with Pakistan in Kargil. After this he again reached Srinagar and from here will leave for Delhi.

Apart from the Prime Minister, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Brigadier (Retd) BD Mishra, Army Chief General Manoj Pandey and Northern Command Chief Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi are also expected to visit Drass. In the year 2024, India will celebrate the silver jubilee of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Former President Ram Nath Kovind and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have earlier visited Drass to pay homage to the soldiers.
Meanwhile, the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh will celebrate August 5 by organizing a grand function and giving away meritorious service awards. Although Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was expected to attend the event, sources reveal that he may be abroad that day. In such a situation, a Union minister is likely to represent the government at the ceremony to be held in Leh.
