Jammu and Kashmir News: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday (July 12) approved the Department of Public Grievances to deal with a large number of public grievances in the Union Territory. This department will start working immediately. The need for the creation of the new department has arisen after a large number of complaints.

These public complaints were received by the LG’s office, which acts as the sole authority in the absence of elected government representatives or ministers. The Public Grievances Department will listen to the problems of the people as well as solve them.

The order states that the department will exclusively deal with redressal of public grievances that will be received by the LG’s office through ‘Lt Governor’s Meet’, a live public grievance hearing program initiated by the government.

Complaints of social media will also be monitored
This department Jammu and Kashmir Integrated Grievance Redressal and Monitoring System (JK-IGRAMS), monitoring disposal of complaints from administrative departments and subordinate offices, Nivaran will also monitor the quality monitoring and redressal of complaints received from social media.

Temporary staff of LG Grievance Cell will work in the new department 
After the opening of the new department, the Lt Governor’s Grievance Cell will be included in the Public Grievances Department and the Lt Governor’s complaint through the General Administration Department The staff provided in the cell will work in the Department of Public Grievances till the appointment of permanent staff.

However, after the opening of the Public Grievances Department, the demand of the employees will be met through internal adjustments. Please tell that in this regard, recruitment will not be done on new posts, nor will new employees be recruited.
