Delhi Bazar E-Portal: The Kejriwal government in Delhi is going to give a global platform to the markets of the state. Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP government is going to launch ‘Delhi Bazar Portal’ regarding this. With this unique initiative, not only Delhi, but people all over the world will get to know the specialty of Delhi’s products. One lakh traders will be connected to the markets of Delhi, which are called the heritage of the capital, in the Delhi Market Portal.
Kejriwal government is in the final stages of launching the Delhi market portal. Initially 10,000 vendors will be included in this e-portal. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday (June 21) chaired a high-level review meeting to take stock of the progress of the Delhi Market project at the Delhi Secretariat. CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the ‘Delhi Bazar’ scheme will be taken forward and executed.
What did Kejriwal say about the portal?
Kejriwal said, "With the help of this portal, the traders of Delhi will be able to get such a platform, where they will be able to sell their products globally. People sitting all over the world will be able to reach Delhi’s markets and their traders. ‘Delhi Bazaar’ will be India’s first portal which will bring all the capital’s markets on a single platform"
Digitization of historic markets
Delhi government aims to bring more than one lakh shops in Delhi to Delhi Bazaar portal within 6 months of the launch of the portal. 24 hours Delhi shops will be visible on digital store in Delhi Bazar Portal. Many historic markets of Delhi will be digitized on a large scale under the Delhi Market Project.
Saurabh Bhardwaj gave updates to CM
Before the launch of Delhi Bazar Portal, Industries Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj told Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal about the preparations in the meeting. Along with this, the features like design, development plan, product cataloguing, market place, geo-tagging, map layout, e-payment and digital look were highlighted in the portal. He informed that a team will be formed to visit various markets of Delhi and take up the responsibility of branding.
