PM Narendra Modi France Visit Live: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in France on July 13 and 14 as part of his two-day official visit. During this, he will attend Bastille Day, the national day of France, as a special guest and will meet various officials and the Indian community, including French President Emmanuel Macron.

During PM Modi’s visit on Thursday, the Defense Ministry informed that the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) has approved the proposals for the purchase of 26 Rafale seaplanes from France to boost the operational capabilities of the Indian Navy.< /p>

According to news agency PTI, in his message before leaving for France, PM Modi said, ‘’I will be on a state visit to France from July 13 to 14 at the invitation of my friend, French President Emmanuel Macron.’ ’ He said, ‘‘This visit is special because I have to attend the French National Day or Bastille Day celebrations in Paris as a special guest with President Macron. Contingents from all three services of India will also participate in the Bastille Day parade, while the Indian Air Force will perform a fly-past on the occasion.’’

Referring to the 25th anniversary of the strategic partnership between the two countries, the Prime Minister said, ‘‘This year is the anniversary of our strategic partnership. Rooted in deep trust and resolve, our two countries enjoy close cooperation in various fields including defence, space, civil nuclear, blue economy, trade, investment, education, culture and people-to-people contact.’’&nbsp ;

He said, ‘‘We are also working together on regional and global issues.’’ Prime Minister Modi said, ‘‘I look forward to meeting President Macron and discussing a wide range of topics so that our long-standing and time-tested partnership can grow further over the next 25 years.’’’ ;

PM Modi said that since his last visit to France in the year 2022, he has had many opportunities to meet President Macron and recently met him in Hiroshima, Japan during the G-7 summit in May 2023.  PM Modi said that during his visit he also looked forward to holding talks with the French leadership, including French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne, President of the Senate Gérard Larchel and National Assembly Speaker Yael Braun-Pieve. 

He said, ‘‘During my visit, I will have the opportunity to meet the dynamic Indian community, veteran CEOs of both the countries and eminent dignitaries of France. I am confident that my visit will give a new impetus to our strategic partnership.’’ According to the Ministry of External Affairs, President Macron will host a state banquet and a private dinner in honor of the Prime Minister. 

Prime Minister Modi also has a program to meet the Prime Minister of France and the presidents of the Senate and National Assembly there. He will also interact with members of the Indian community in France, CEOs of Indian and French companies and French dignitaries.
