Jammu and Kashmir Police: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Monday (June 19) that the police has successfully dealt with the challenges of terrorism, law and order and modernization. He said, the police force through its internal security management is ensuring that a common citizen can live in Jammu and Kashmir without any fear.

Addressing a gathering at the closing ceremony of Jashn-e-Dal program at SKICC on the banks of Dal Lake, LG Sinha said, "The people of Kashmir are currently living in a peaceful environment due to the successful management of internal security." Manoj Sinha advised the youth to choose their future in various fields related to sports. More than 700 players took part in this event organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police.

‘Police is changing the future of youth through sports’
Praising the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Manoj Sinha said, "Jammu and Kashmir Police has successfully dealt with the challenges of terrorism, law and order and modernization and is now changing the future of youth through sports as well." 

60 lakh youth participated in sports activities
LG said, "Dal Lake is not just a lake but the pride of the people. Those who have taken part in its cleaning should continue their work so that the lake can be cleaned. Youth Service Sports Department has done a commendable job." He said that last year, 60 lakh youth participated in various sports related activities in Jammu and Kashmir. There is hardly any district where daily sports activities or some big tournament does not happen.

Two international stadiums in Jammu and Kashmir 
LG Manoj Sinha said that the administration has upgraded the sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. They said, "Two international stadiums are in Jammu and Kashmir regions. Every district and panchayat has volleyball and football grounds, besides multi-purpose sports facilities."

He said that Srinagar has got a new identity and discussions are going on that the central government should follow the Srinagar model in the country as far as development and reorganization is concerned.
