K Annamalai On IPL: Chennai Super Kings captured the IPL trophy for the fifth time by defeating Gujarat Titans on Monday (May 29). After which Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai reacted to the victory of CSK. Congratulating the team, Annamalai on Tuesday (May 30) said that Indian cricket team all-rounder player Ravindra Jadeja is a BJP worker.
This reaction of Annamalai came a day after CSK won the IPL title for the fifth time. Tamil Nadu BJP leader tweeted that Jadeja is a BJP worker. His wife Rivaba Jadeja is a BJP MLA from Jamnagar North assembly constituency and she is a Gujarati. Annamalai said that BJP worker Jadeja has given victory to CSK.
CSK has more Tamil players
Annamalai reacts to some social media posts projecting CSK’s victory as a victory of the Dravidian model over the Gujarat model over the BJP was taunted. BJP chief did this tweet in Tamil language. Annamalai while talking to a private TV channel anchor said that although he is proud that CSK won the game, people should also celebrate Gujarat Titans as CSK has more Tamil players.

Celebrating the team’s victory because of Dhoni
He said that no Tamil played in CSK, but we still celebrate the team’s victory because of MS Dhoni. We are proud that BJP workers scored good runs for the team. However, it is not yet clear whether Jadeja has joined the official BJP or not. Jadeja had extended his support to the BJP in 2019.
IPL final held at Narendra Modi Stadium
IPL 2023 final to be held on May 29 in Ahmedabad Narendra Modi took place at the stadium. Batting first in the match was done by Gujarat Titans, in which they scored 214 runs in 20 overs at the loss of four wickets. Tamil Nadu batsman Sai Sudarshan scored the most runs for the team. He scored 96 runs in 47 balls. However, due to rain, the match was reduced to 15 overs, due to which CSK were given a target of 171 runs in 15 overs.
