CoWIN: A report by Malayala Manorama has claimed that personal information like Aadhaar, passport and PAN card numbers of crores of Indian people as well as top politicians and journalists have been leaked from the government portal COWIN. Information has been leaked. Since then, the opposition parties are also targeting the government regarding this. 

Trinamool Congress (TMC) spokesperson Saket Gokhale has made a serious allegation of breach of confidentiality with the help of Kovid-19 vaccination app CoWIN on the Modi government. At the same time, now government sources have denied the claims and said that the Union Health Ministry is working on a detailed report. He said that it is being investigated now. 

What are the allegations?

According to the report, the details of personal information, Aadhaar card and passport of Indian citizens were leaked on the messaging platform Telegram. According to a report in Malayala Manorama, the data leak is from the Covid vaccination portal Covin, in which people had entered their personal details.
