How scary was the night after the train accident in Balasore? Rescue operation continues for 12 hours, hospital -aabtak24

Coromandel Express Derail: A terrible train accident took place in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday (June 2) evening. Several coaches of the Howrah-bound Coromandel Express derailed and collided with another train. The accident was so terrible that till now 233 people have died and more than 900 people are injured. Because of which the injured have piled up in the hospitals. The accident happened due to collision of goods train, Coromandel Express and Howrah Express trains.   

This incident in Balasore has shocked everyone. Dead bodies are lying everywhere in the spot, there is a cry. Some are trapped in the train and some are lying on the tracks. Relief rescue work is going on fast, in such a situation the number of injured and killed people is increasing continuously. According to the information, despite the rescue operation going on for the last 12 hours, a large number of people are still trapped in the accident. 

Rescue operation continues since overnight
In this train incident in Balasore district, local people and rescue teams are trying to rescue the people trapped inside the coaches. 600 personnel of railway, fire brigade and local police administration kept taking out the people trapped in bogies in the dark throughout the night and taking them to the hospital. This accident happened near Bahanaga Bazar station, about forty kilometers from Balasore. Hospitals from Bahanaga, Balasore to Bhubaneswar are full of injured. 

Collision between three trains
Many coaches of Howrah-bound 12864 Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express first derailed and fell on the adjacent track at around 7.30 pm near Balasore. From the other side, the Romandal Express going from Shalimar to Chennai was coming at full speed. The collision between Howrah and Coromandel Express was so strong that the bogies of Coromandel Express also derailed and collided with the goods train coming on the other track. 

Order of State Mourning
Due to the accident in Odisha, the government has canceled all programs on Saturday, June 3. Along with this, state mourning has also been ordered. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced the compensation amount for the dead and injured.
