Go First Airlines Flight Cancelled: Go First Airlines has announced cancellation of its flights till 25th July. Go First Airlines tweeted on Sunday (23 July) that we are sorry to inform that Go First flights scheduled till 25 July 2023 have been canceled due to operational reasons. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellation. 

The airlines further said in the tweet that the company has filed an application for immediate resolution and commencement of operations. We will be able to start booking again soon. We thank you for your patience. Insolvency resolution process is going on against GoFirst. The company had stopped its airlines from May 3. 

GoFirst filed for bankruptcy

The company had been battling engine problems for some time, due to which a large number of its aircraft had to be grounded. After this, GoFirst filed a petition for voluntary bankruptcy before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). In which he alleged the delay was due to inability to fulfill obligations on the part of US-based engine maker Pratt & Whitney. 

National Company Law Tribunal  Then an Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) was appointed. Then on June 9, Shailendra Ajmera was appointed as the resolution professional (RP) for GoFirst, which was later approved by the NCLT. 

The company has 4,200 employees

GoFirst Airline has around 4,200 employees and had reported a total revenue of Rs 4,183 crore from operations in the financial year 2021-22. The resolution professional (RP) of the airline had submitted the plan for restoration of services to the DGCA on June 28.

After that, the DGCA had conducted a special audit of various facilities related to flights of the company in Mumbai and Delhi. Aviation regulator DGCA on Friday allowed GoFirst airline to resume flight operations with certain conditions.
