Mamata Banerjee Speech: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a big announcement on Friday (July 21). While holding a rally in Kolkata, she said that she is bringing a scheme on the lines of MNREGA for the poor of the state. Its name will be ‘Khela Hobe’. 

According to news agency PTI, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee said, “We are thinking of bringing a 100-day job scheme.” Its name will be played.” He claimed, "The Bengal government always stands with the poor. We will give them work." 

What did Mamata Banerjee say?
Mamata Banerjee further said, ‘‘Despite being the best performing state in the MNREGA scheme, the central government does not release funds just because of jealousy and vendetta politics. We will take our fight to Delhi and stage a dharna on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, to press for our demands.’’

What is Khela Hobe?
During the 2021 assembly elections, Mamta Banerjee’s party TMC gave the slogan of Khela Hobe. Banerjee used this slogan from time to time in rallies. After this, on August 16, ‘Khela Hobe Day’ was celebrated in the state. During this various games are organized.  

What did CM Mamata say on Manipur?
The Chief Minister of West Bengal called the central government ‘‘merchant of terror’’ Stating that he wondered why the central team which sent a central team to Bengal in the blink of an eye is not sending a central team to Manipur despite the death of more than 150 people in the violence. 

Banerjee said, ‘‘In Bengal‘merchants of terror’ Central teams are being sent, but why are the central teams not being sent to Manipur? BJP leaders in Bengal are openly claiming that they will impose President’s rule in Bengal; Why is this not happening in Manipur?’’
