Wrestlers have opened front against Brijbhushan

Indian Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has serious allegations of sexual exploitation with female wrestlers. In this case, two FIRs have been registered against him in Delhi’s Connaught Place police station. An FIR has been registered in this under the POCSO Act. 

Many famous wrestlers including Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik were protesting against Brijbhushan Sharan Singh at Jantar Mantar for more than a month. On May 28, the Delhi Police removed the sit-in demonstration. During this, the goods kept there were sent to another place. After this, the wrestlers had announced to flow their medals in the river Ganga on Tuesday. Wrestlers are demanding Brij Bhushan’s removal from the wrestling federation and arrest.

Said this on resignation and arrest

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said that there is no question of resignation. My term is over and elections are going to be held soon. On arrest, Singh said, I have nothing in my hand. FIR has been registered. Delhi Police is investigating the matter. Everything is up to the Delhi Police. If I am found wrong, I will be arrested. I have no problem with that.

The wrestlers did not throw their medals in the Ganges

Before this, according to the announcement on Tuesday (May 30) evening, the wrestlers reached Har Ki Pauri. Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik were sitting on the banks of the Ganges, when Naresh Tikait also reached there. On the persuasion of Naresh Tikait, the wrestlers did not throw their medals in the Ganges. After this, Naresh Tikait took the medal from the wrestlers. Tikait said, BJP is trying to save Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. He said we explained to the wrestlers. We will not let the children (players) head down. We have given 5 days time to the government.
