He has made a tweet sharing the link of an English website. In which he has said, “The principal of a private school in Kutch was suspended because the children in the video were playing on Eid and were wearing caps.” Tagging the Twitter handle of PMO India, he further wrote, “PMO India does not wear it because yeh neech kaam hai (lowly act) maybe another reason for Hindutva UCC?”
What’s the matter?
Actually, according to the news of the Indian Express, a video of students reciting Namaz and wearing caps in a private school in Mundra, Kutch went viral on the occasion of Eid. During this, Hindu students were also shown doing the same. There was a controversy about this and after that Sanjay Parmar, District Primary Education Officer, told The Indian Express that asking Hindu students to wear caps and offer Namaz is a very inferior act.
Seeing the matter catching fire, the principal of the private school was suspended. Sanjay Parmar further said, “The video related to the incident came to know about at around 11 am on Friday. After this, the owner of the school asked Abbasi to suspend the principal. This was informed to us after the school trust suspended Principal Preeti Vaswani.“
On the other hand, the District Development Officer of Kutch says that according to the information received about the video, there is a school named Pearl School in Mundra taluka. A video of celebrating Eid in this school surfaced, about which information was given to the District Primary Education Officer. After contacting the owner of the school, instructions were given to suspend the principal.
