Owaisi On UCC: Amidst the ongoing discussion on Uniform Civil Code, AIMIM Chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi is continuously speaking about it. Asaduddin Owaisi said in a press conference on Friday (July 14) that we have sent our response to the Law Commission along with the legal opinion of retired Justice Gopal Gowda. He told that Supreme Court lawyer Nizam Pasha helped prepare this response.
Asaduddin Owaisi raised questions on the notification of the Law Commission. He said that in the notification, the Law Commission has asked people for their views, has not given any proposal. Taking a dig at the Modi government, Owaisi said that the Law Commission is again exercising on UCC after five years. He said that this happens before every election, so that BJP can benefit in the coming elections.
