Weather Today: Due to the rains across the country, there is hue and cry. Torrential rains for the last few days have made people’s lives busy. Orange alert has been issued in the national capital on Monday, 10 July. In Delhi, 15 buildings have collapsed in the rains during the last 24 hours. Water has entered the houses of many MPs. Schools have been closed today in Ghaziabad, Delhi. Due to the rains in Gurugram, the condition of the people is miserable.
In many districts of Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains for the next three days. In view of this, in five districts Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Nainital, Almora and Udham Singh Nagar, all schools and Anganwadi centers from class one to 12 have been closed. In Uttarkashi and Dehradun, 10th July, 10th and 11th July in Udham Singh Nagar, three days in Almora from 10th to 12th July and four days in Nainital from 10th to 13th July have been declared.
Where will it rain
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Delhi and Rajasthan on Monday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at different places in Uttar Pradesh till July 10-12. Heavy rain is expected to continue for the next 3 days at some places in Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat. However, after this it is expected to decrease. The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of moderate to heavy rain in the entire region in the next 5 days. Light to moderate rain is expected over Karnataka and Kerala in the next 5 days.
The Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy rains in West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur in the next 5 days. Heavy rains may occur at isolated places in Odisha, while Jharkhand is likely to receive heavy rains between July 10-12. Andaman and Nicobar Islands may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places from Monday, and heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected over Bihar from July 11-13.
