Arvind Kejriwal Vs LG VK Saxena: CM Arvind Kejriwal and LG VK Saxena continue to write letters to each other regarding the deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi. In response to LG’s letter, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has once again written a letter to him.

Earlier, LG Saxena had written in his letter that there is regular review and monitoring of Delhi Police. Politicization of crime has become almost a habit these days and it does not provide any solution. Commenting on Kejriwal, he wrote that in 2012, you (Kejriwal) raised the issue of an unfortunate rape to target the then Chief Minister politically.

What did Arvind Kejriwal answer?
Now in response to this letter, CM Arvind Kejriwal once again wrote a reply letter to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Wednesday (June 21). He has said in his letter that I do not understand the reluctance of the LG to not accept the need for immediate improvement in the law and order situation in Delhi.

Arvind Kejriwal has told why he wrote the letter? read carefully. Normally I don’t decide to write back again, but your response has left me no option but to tell the people of Delhi that the people responsible have no concrete solution directly to ensure the safety of Delhiites. Not there. Those responsible can only level allegations.

Aam Aadmi Party’s National Coordinator Kejriwal has said that it is easy to politicize a very serious issue related to the safety of life and property of two crore people of Delhi, but your response has offered any such effective steps to be considered. Has not done so that the people of Delhi can be sure about their safety.

Kejriwal said that the regular weekly meetings of the LG with the top officers of the Delhi Police will remain a formality until concrete steps are taken at the ground level to stop the frequent serious criminal incidents in Delhi.&nbsp ;

What did Arvind Kejriwal say?
Kejriwal has said that you (LG) are busy in the race to take credit for the works of the elected government to please your political masters. The constitution has given you the responsibility of maintaining law and order in Delhi. It seems that you have no time to pay serious attention to ensure the safety of the citizens of Delhi by setting aside all constitutional principles and Supreme Court judgments by constantly creating obstructions in the functioning of the elected government. < /p>

CM Arvind Kejriwal has further said in the letter that in response to my letter, you have mentioned the heart-wrenching gangrape of 2012 and the murder of Delhi’s daughter Nirbhaya. You are not aware of the facts about Delhi. For this reason, let me tell you that after the heart-wrenching Nirbhaya case, there was so much public outrage that the then central government was forced to make changes in criminal laws to prevent crime against women.

Kejriwal said that I am not aware whether the present central government that you are representing has the sensitivity to come up with a new solution to control the spurt in serious crimes in Delhi.

Mentioned the wrestler’s performance
Kejriwal has said that wrestlers who won medals for the country had to protest for months to get an FIR lodged in the sexual harassment case. Then an FIR was registered on the orders of the Supreme Court.

He said that this shows the bad intention of the political masters of Delhi Police and it definitely reduces the faith of women on Delhi Police. The Delhi Police has not voluntarily used force against the medal winning wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar, nor would it have suppressed the ongoing peaceful protests without political orders.

Delhi Police mentioned
Kejriwal has stressed in the letter that I have received information that there is a shortage of jawans in the police stations of Delhi. Because of this, effective policing and patrolling are not being done to prevent criminal incidents.

He said that in some police stations only 35-40 percent of the police force is present against the sanctioned police force and they are forced to work with such a small force. In such a situation, how can we expect any SHO to work with 35% of the police force? In such a situation, how can he do effective policing and patrolling of the entire area under his jurisdiction?

What appeal?
 Kejriwal has appealed to LG Saxena to make a fresh assessment of the number of Delhi Police personnel in proportion to the population of Delhi. Along with this, efforts should be made to provide adequate number of police force in police stations.

He said that the solution to this problem would be found by prioritizing the needs of the Delhi Police and increasing the strength of the Delhi Police. At the same time, engagement with the residents is very important to make Delhi safe.
