Agartala June 07: With hope in their hearts, people from different parts of the state on Wednesday once again thronged in to chief minister Dr Manik Saha’s official residence with their problems, grievances and shortages.

Most of them came with requests for medical assistance. Chief Minister (Dr.) Saha after examining their medical documents immediately directed the concerned officials to take necessary action.

Dhanmohan Tripura of Sabroom Manubazar came with a request for medical assistance for his wife.

Reportedly, Dhanmohan Tripura’s wife has been suffering from heart disease for a couple of years and was referred for advanced treatment including heart surgery.

But because of poor financial condition Dhanmohan Tripura could not go abroad for expensive treatment. So, he appealed to the Chief Minister for better treatment of his wife.

The chief minister immediately directed the officials of the health department and the Secretary to do the needful for treatment of the patient.

Moreover, Liton Das, a resident of Chandipur in Kailashahar, met the Chief Minister on Wednesday.

A day laborer by profession has a 12-year-old divyangan daughter who is epileptic.

At least Rs 10-12 lakhs is needed for advanced treatment of his daughter in Bangalore. As it is impossible for a day laborer like him to meet the cost of the expensive treatment. He brought up his inability to the Chief Minister.

Responding to the request of the poor father, the Chief Minister immediately responded to his plea and directed the officials of the concerned departments to provide necessary assistance.

Grahanashanti Molson, a resident of Mungiakami in Khowai, met the Chief Minister seeking medical assistance for her husband.

Grahanashanti’s husband has been suffering from ulcer for the past 2 years.

Meanwhile, her husband’s operation was also done at GB Hospital.

Grahanashanti’s husband is involved in small business but currently is unemployed due to illness. In such a situation Grahanashanti is struggling to meet her husband’s medical expenses.

After hearing about his problem, the Chief Minister directed the secretary of the health department to take necessary steps.

The noble initiative taken up by the chief minister through “Mukhyamantri Samipeshu” program has gathered massive response from the people across Tripura.
