Prior to this meeting, Sharad Pawar’s daughter NCP MP and party’s working president Supriya Sule made an emotional appeal to the workers.
Supriya Sule said, I will wait for all of you at YB Chavan Center. In a 55-second video message, he said, 83-year-old warrior and our beloved leader Sharad Pawar will be there today to guide all of us. He will tell us the future plans of the party and our responsibilities.
Both factions show of strength in Mumbai

The Sharad Pawar faction has claimed that they have the support of 44 out of 54 MLAs. As of now, after Wednesday’s meeting, it will be clear who has the real power in the party.
Ajit Pawar, who went against Sharad Pawar and joined the Shinde government, has also called a meeting on Wednesday itself. The meeting of the Ajit Pawar camp took place at the Mumbai Education Trust premises in Bandra. In the meeting, Chhagan Bhujbal claimed from the stage that more than 40 MLAs were with him.
