Maharashtra Politics Crisis: A political storm has arisen in Maharashtra after the rebellion of NCP leader Ajit Pawar. Ajit Pawar has taken oath as the Deputy CM of the state on Sunday (July 2). He revolted along with many MLAs of the party and joined the NDA. Ajit Pawar’s uncle and NCP chief Sharad Pawar has termed it as robbery. He said on Ajit Pawar’s rebellion that this is not a googly, this is robbery, this is not a small thing.
In the midst of this political crisis in NCP, many speculations have started regarding the future of the party. The question is arising that if two factions are formed in NCP, as is also being seen, then who can be the future of Sharad Pawar’s faction. Meanwhile, discussion of another name has started, that name is of Rohit Pawar.
Who is Rohit Pawar?
NCP leader Rohit Pawar is the MLA from Karjat-Jamkhed constituency. He seems to be the great-grandson of Sharad Pawar in the relationship. Rohit Pawar is also a businessman, he is the CEO of Baramati Agro Limited. He has served as the President of the Indian Sugar Mills Association from September 2018 to 2019. Rohit Pawar contested and won the Zilla Parishad elections in 2017 from Shirsufal-Gunawadi constituency in Baramati taluka of Pune.

In October 2019, Rohit Pawar was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Karjat-Jamkhed constituency. Rohit’s mother Sunanda Rajendra Pawar is a women activist and a trustee of the Krishi Vikas Trust in Baramati. Pawar is also the president of the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA).
Ajit Pawar’s return home difficult
Ajit Pawar has already formed a government for a few hours with BJP leaving Sharad Pawar in 2019. Although then he came back on persuasion, but this time he is finding it difficult to return home. Amidst all this there is talk in the political circles that now Sharad Pawar’s daughter Suprila Sule can be given the responsibility of national politics and Rohit Pawar can be given the responsibility of Maharashtra.
