Sengol Dispute: Ruckus has been going on for the last several days regarding the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House, all the opposition parties have demanded the President to inaugurate it and have announced Boycott. In the midst of this controversy, now another controversy has started. This time The debate has started regarding Sengol i.e. the scepter to be kept in the new Parliament House. Home Minister Amit Shah had told the country that Sengol, handed over to Jawaharlal Nehru in 1947 as a symbol of independence, would be kept in the new Parliament. A lot of publicity was also done about this, but Congress leader Jairam Ramesh raised questions about Sengol. He said that misleading information is being spread about Sengol. Now Amit Shah himself has replied to Jairam Ramesh by tweeting.

Congress is telling history a lie – Shah
Two tweets have been made in response by Home Minister Amit Shah. In which he has said that the Congress is falsifying history. Amit Shah wrote on Twitter, "Now Congress has committed another shameful insult. The Thiruvaduthurai Aadhinam, a holy Shaivite monastery, itself spoke about the importance of Sengol at the time of India’s independence. Congress is telling the history of Adhinam a liar! Congress needs to consider its behaviour."

Amit Shah wrote in his second tweet, "Why does the Congress party hate Indian traditions and culture so much? A sacred sengol was given to Pandit Nehru by a sacred Shaivite monastery in Tamil Nadu as a symbol of India’s independence, but it was mistaken for a ‘walking stick’ and sent to a museum."

Now, Congress has heaped another shameful insult. The Thiruvaduthurai Adheenam, a holy Saivite Mutt, itself spoke about the importance of the Sengol at the time of India’s freedom. Congress is calling the Adheenam’s history as BOGUS! Congress needs to reflect on their behaviour.

"text-align: justify;">What claim did Jairam Ramesh make? was handed over as a transfer of power. They said, "There is no document related to Mountbatten, Rajaji and Nehru to prove that this scepter was used as a symbol of transfer of power from British to India, all the claims related to it are fake and brainchild of some people."

Jairam Ramesh said that the PM and his admirers are using this scepter for political gains in Tamil Nadu. Jairam Ramesh said that all this is the knowledge gained from WhatsApp University, which BJP is spreading.
