BJP Vs TMC: Intensifying the attack against the Trinamool Congress (TMC), the BJP claimed on Sunday (July 16) that Mamata Banerjee’s government in West Bengal would last only for some more time. Rejecting BJP’s claim, TMC has retaliated. On behalf of TMC, it has been said that BJP leaders are only trying to increase their ratings in Delhi by making statements against the government which has public support.

According to news agency PTI, BJP MP Shantanu Thakur said in a party program organized in his Lok Sabha constituency Bangaon that the TMC government will not last more than five months. Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shantanu Thakur said, “The usefulness of the Mamta Banerjee government is over. Had TMC not resorted to large-scale rigging in the recently concluded panchayat elections, BJP would have got thousands of additional seats.
